I do not like them because they are actually are hard to put on! I made a mess of a couple of them but the risk is that I also had to replace my pod. My own fault. I want to be honest with you. There must be an easier way to maybe just add more adhesive to the Omnipod?

"I am not happy with the overlays because they are hard to apply! I am active, thus get sweaty. I need to keep that Omnipod attached! It is too expensive to lose the filled up pod! I do use the “stick on” stuff to no avail. A wider adhesive may help? Sorry for my honest opinion. Thank you anyway! Your staff is wonderful regardless of my thoughts on the product. Leaves room for improvement

"The Pod Pals are a good idea but they could be better. I wish these were designed to where the whole pod is covered. (Skin grips have a product like this for my dexacom and they work amazingly!)If it is hot out and you sweat the pod and pod pals are hopeless. I tried and wasted so many pods and pod pals to get one to stick. I then decided I will just have to go back to regular injections for hot days. This is extremely disappointing because the Omnipod has been a game changer!"

They do what they are supposed to do. . . .

"but I am allergic to the adhesive. I usually use a barrier between my skin and Omnipod pumps so that I don't react to them. But the area of the PodPals that overhangs my barrier does get a rash. I am applying Fluticasone nasal spray to the affected area before and after applying the PodPals to help out. Pods do stay well on my legs, hips, and stomach using the PodPals, which was the objective - to create additional places to mount my Omnipods."

They are easy to ruin, so be careful

"I buy and use these because they are terrific at holding Omnipods on. But be careful- they are easy to ruin when removing the backing. If it sticks to itself, and you are able to undo that, it will be stretched out. Possibly usable. But if not, you'll have to toss and start again with new one."

"They stay on fairly well but the adhesive is horrible after I remove and on the 2nd and 3rd day the area is VERY itchy. The Dexcom 7 adhesive and overlay never affects me and it is in the same spot for 15 days! I think you really need to look at improving the adhesive!!!"

Yes. PodPals™ are intended to be accessories that may be used to assist in adherence of the skin attachment area surrounding the Pod while using the Omnipod® System, Omnipod DASH® System or Omnipod® 5.
Many users (including me) have had a difficult time applying these because the sticky side of the tape can easily fold back on itself, making it unusable. What is the recommended strategy to avoid this?
