Sugar Medical was created out of lived experience. After being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 13, our founder saw firsthand how difficult it was to carry daily supplies with confidence. In 2009, she began designing cases that were not only functional, but something people felt good carrying.
Today, Sugar Medical is one of the largest diabetes accessory brands in the country and proudly remains woman owned. Every product is designed with real daily routines in mind, tested for durability, and supported by real people who understand life with diabetes.

Sugar Medical contributes to the diabetes community by making annual donations to Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF), Beyond Type 1, and The Diabetes Link. Additionally, we participate in walks and support events organized by Breakthrough T1D and the American Diabetes Association. We have also donated 5000 bags to Breakthrough T1D’s Bag of Hope. In our local community of Midlothian, VA, we support the Chesterfield County Food Bank and local high school sports programs through donations.
